I went to college at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, and moved to Washington, D.C., to work on Capitol Hill. I originally lived in the Cleveland Park neighborhood in Northwest DC and then eventually moved to the vibrant Capitol HIll area.
My time in politics included working in a Member of Congress's office representing a district that included my hometown as well as time spent as Professional Staff on the House Veterans' Affairs Committee. The experience could not have been duplicated anywhere else, and I had the opportunity to work and grow professionally alongside many different people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs.
Some of my hobbies include fishing and hunting, amateur culinary endeavors, and trying to catch the occasional Wake Forest athletic event. I live on Capitol Hill with my dog King and am fortunate to have family here in the area as well.
